John V. Catapano

John V. Catapano, P.E. - President

As President of Catapano Engineering, P.C., John V. Catapano, P.E. is responsible for every aspect of the firm’s business plan including design, production, client satisfaction, marketing, staff, contract negotiation and profitability. Graduating from Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, he continued on to obtain his professional licenses in Civil Engineering in the State of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware. John’s continued involvement in the Alumni and practical experience has gained him the reputation of a leader in the industry.

John V. Catapano, P.E. expertise is in civil and mechanical engineering, site planning, zoning, permitting and site compliance. John has been a leader in the development of hundreds of gasoline service stations, food establishments and commercial retail facilities in the Metropolitan area. As well as providing the metro region with professional consulting services, John is also involved in many civic and charity organizations whose support and leadership has improved the community we live in.

 
Mark J. Catapano

Mark J. Catapano - Vice President

As Vice President of Catapano Engineering, P.C., Mark J. Catapano manages all areas of business operations, production, client satisfaction, marketing and financials to accomplish company goals. The management of production, quality and competitive rate structures has gained the firm a reputation of integrity and quality. With an aggressive approach toward growth, Mark commits to obtaining client feedback to ensure satisfaction of services, and as a result, builds stable long term business relationships.

Mark J. Catapano also gives back to the community by supporting civic and charity organizations and is Chairman of the Board for the Melville Chamber of Commerce that acts as a liaison for governmental interaction, promotes local businesses and betters the community.

 
Isabella Caneda

Isabella Caneda - Director of Permitting & Compliance

A graduate of St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Paralegal Administration, Isabella Caneda leads the Permitting and Compliance staff at Catapano Engineering, P.C. Isabella has supervised thousands of Town, County and State agency submissions and manages the ever changing regulations and site compliance enforcement issues.

Isabella’s expertise is in code requirements, permitting procedures and rectifying notice of violations for building compliance in New York City, Long Island and Westchester County areas. As Project Manager, Isabella is responsible for of the entire permitting process, from Town Board approvals through Zoning, Planning and Building Department approvals to the final Certificate of Occupancy. Isabella’s project success experience has granted her as a respected zoning and permitting leader in the region.

 
Mark Abrahamer

Mark Abrahamer, AIA, NCARB - Architectural Design Director

As the Architectural Design Director, Mark Abrahamer, AIA, NCARB manages the firm’s designs for quality, creativity, its practical application and code compliance. His expertise and experience is within the retail, restaurant, office building, residential and industrial industries for various types of alterations, remodels, legalizations and new site development. Mark’s comprehensive services include commercial building inspections, codifying building plans, existing conditions documentation and LEED building design specifications.

Mark graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and currently maintains a professional license registration in New York, membership in the American Institute of Architects and certification by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

 
James Galella

James Galella, P.E. - Project Manager

As Project Manager, James Galella, P.E. is proficient in civil and structural engineering and has excellent management and people skills. James understands that managing the necessary phases of each project is crucial for success. Through his technical experience he designs cost effective solutions for petroleum pump and tank systems, site planning, grading/drainage, footing/foundation projects and provides construction inspections and Professional Engineer Certifications.

James graduated from Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and continued to become a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer.
